When you become a merchant of Nationwide Payments, you provide us with personal information that we use to set up your merchant account. Becoming a registered user enables you to review confidential account information for the service(s) you are enrolled in and perform other confidential transactions. We will occasionally send you service announcements, policy/procedure updates and other related information.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Nationwide Payments will only send information about you to other companies when: 1) we have your consent to share the information 2) we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested (i.e. printing your merchant statement). We may also release personally identifiable information when we believe release is appropriate to: 1) comply with the law 2) enforce or apply our Merchant Agreement or other agreements 3) protect the rights, property or safety of Nationwide Payments, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and risk reduction. In the unlikely event that Nationwide Payments is acquired, merchant account information may be one of the transferred assets.

Cookies
Transaction Manager uses session cookies containing encrypted information to allow the system to uniquely identify you while you are logged in. Session cookies help us make sure you are who you say you are and are required in order to use Transaction Manager. Standing alone, cookies do not identify you personally. They merely recognize your browser and only exist during an online session. They disappear from your computer when you close your browser software or turn off your computer.
Information Security
Nationwide Payments works to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. We store information gathered on secure computers located in a locked data center that a limited number of our employees have access to. We use firewalls and other security technology to prevent our computers from being accessed by unauthorized persons. We also require that any personally identifiable consumer information sent to us by you be encrypted using SSL encryption.
Nationwide Payments is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) as a Level 1 Service Provider. Security measures needed to pass this level of compliance include: physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards; sophisticated security monitoring tools; documented security policies; restricting access to confidential information and periodic security audits by third party security experts.
